away with you

Leave my sight

Away with you is an exclamation dismissing someone from your presence, usually with irritation or impatience.

The phrase sounds old-fashioned or theatrical today, more likely heard in period dramas than everyday speech: Away with you! I'll hear no more of this nonsense.

A softer variant, away with you, can express playful disbelief: Oh, away with you—you're teasing me.
