author signings
Writer meet-and-greets
Author signings are events where writers appear at bookstores, libraries, or conventions to sign copies of their books for readers.
The signing typically follows a reading or brief talk.
Fans line up with purchased books—or sometimes cherished old copies—to get a personalized autograph and a moment with the author: I waited two hours at the author signing to meet her.
