art reproduction
Museum shop poster
A reproduction of a visual artwork—a copy made through printing, photography, or digital means.
Art reproductions range from museum-shop posters to meticulous facsimiles that replicate texture and brushstrokes.
The term distinguishes copies from originals: The Mona Lisa you saw was an art reproduction; the original is behind bulletproof glass.
Some reproductions are authorized, others counterfeit.
