art gala
Fancy painting party
An art gala is a formal social event centered on visual art, typically combining an exhibition with fundraising, networking, or celebration.
Museums and galleries host galas to honor donors, open new exhibitions, or raise money: The museum's annual art gala attracted collectors from across the country.
The atmosphere tends toward elegance—evening dress, catered food, sometimes an auction.
