antiquate
Render no longer current
To antiquate something is to make it obsolete or outdated—to render it old-fashioned by the passage of time or the arrival of something newer: Digital photography has antiquated the darkroom.
The word is uncommon; people more often reach for the adjective antiquated to describe things that have become outmoded: antiquated equipment, antiquated laws.
