ant-eater
Long-tongued insectivore
An ant-eater is any of several mammals that feed primarily on ants and termites, using long sticky tongues to extract them from nests.
The giant anteater of Central and South America is the most familiar, with its elongated snout and bushy tail.
Unrelated animals that eat ants—like echidnas and pangolins—are sometimes called ant-eaters too.
