ambulance call
Plea for paramedics
An ambulance call is a request for emergency medical transport, or the dispatch that results from it.
Paramedics and EMTs use the term for individual incidents: We had twelve ambulance calls last night.
The phrase can also refer to the summons itself: The 911 operator put out an ambulance call.
