amblyopic

Having weak sight

Amblyopic describes a condition of reduced vision in one eye, commonly called lazy eye.

The eye itself is structurally normal, but the brain favors the other eye, causing the weaker one to develop poorly: The patch forces the brain to use the amblyopic eye.
