alarm panel

Intruder detection interface

An alarm panel is the central control unit of a security system, typically a wall-mounted box where users arm, disarm, and monitor the system.

It receives signals from sensors throughout a building and triggers alerts when intrusions or emergencies are detected: The installer mounted the alarm panel near the front door.

Also called a control panel or keypad.
