air stewardesses
In-flight service staff
Air stewardesses is the plural of air stewardess, an older term for a woman who attends to passengers on commercial flights.
The term has largely given way to the gender-neutral flight attendant: My grandmother worked as an air stewardess for Pan Am in the 1960s.
