aim assist
Crosshair correction software
Aim assist is a feature in video games that helps players target enemies, typically by subtly adjusting crosshair movement or slowing sensitivity near targets.
It compensates for the imprecision of controllers compared to mouse input: Console players get aim assist because thumbsticks are harder to aim with.
The term sometimes carries dismissive connotations when used to discredit skilled play: He only hit that shot because of aim assist.
