agenda setter
Meeting topic decider
An agenda setter is a person or entity that determines which topics receive attention and discussion, particularly in politics and media.
The term reflects the power to shape public discourse not by dictating opinions but by controlling what issues get considered in the first place: Cable news has become the primary agenda setter for political debate.
In meetings, the agenda setter decides what will be discussed and in what order.
