advance men
Pre-arrival logistics team
Advance men are staff who travel ahead of a political candidate, executive, or public figure to prepare for upcoming appearances.
They handle logistics, coordinate with local organizers, scout venues, and arrange security and media access.
The role requires anticipating problems before the principal arrives: The advance men had been in town for three days, working out every detail of the senator's visit.
