account balances
What you owe
Account balances are the amounts of money in financial accounts at a given moment.
The term appears in banking, accounting, and personal finance: I check my account balances every morning.
A balance can be positive (funds available) or negative (money owed).
In accounting, account balances extend beyond cash to include amounts in any ledger account—assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses.
