account balance
What you owe
An account balance is the amount of money in a financial account at a given moment—what remains after all deposits, withdrawals, and fees.
Bank statements show account balances; so do credit card bills, though there the balance represents what you owe rather than what you have.
Check your account balance before making large purchases.
