abandoned towns
Empty former communities
Abandoned towns are settlements that were once inhabited but have lost their entire population, leaving behind empty buildings, infrastructure, and sometimes personal belongings.
They result from economic collapse, natural disasters, environmental contamination, or the exhaustion of resources that originally drew residents.
