Zelig

Adapts to surroundings

A Zelig is someone who appears in many different contexts or alongside notable people, seemingly blending in wherever they go.

The term comes from Woody Allen's 1983 mockumentary about Leonard Zelig, a man who physically transforms to match those around him.

To be a Zelig is to be remarkably adaptable—or suspiciously omnipresent: He's the Zelig of Silicon Valley, showing up in photos with every major founder.
