Utah desert
Arches National Park
The Utah desert encompasses the arid and semi-arid lands covering much of the state, including portions of the Great Basin, Mojave, and Colorado Plateau deserts.
These landscapes feature red rock formations, salt flats, canyons, and sparse vegetation adapted to extreme temperatures and minimal rainfall.
We drove through the Utah desert at sunset and the rocks glowed orange.
The region draws tourists to national parks like Arches and Canyonlands while also hosting military testing grounds and wilderness areas.
