The Reverend
Ordained religious title
The Reverend is an honorific title for Christian clergy, typically abbreviated Rev. and used with a full name: the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. , the Reverend Susan Chen.
Formally, it takes the definite article, though casual usage often drops it: Reverend Jackson will speak at noon.
Some denominations reserve it for ordained ministers; others use it more broadly.
