Sunni practices

Sunni practices are the religious observances of Sunni Islam, the largest branch of the faith.

These center on the Five Pillars: declaration of faith, five daily prayers, charitable giving, fasting during Ramadan, and pilgrimage to Mecca.

Sunni worship emphasizes following the Quran and the Prophet's example as recorded in hadith, with less hierarchical clergy than Shia traditions.

Sunni practices vary somewhat across different schools of Islamic jurisprudence.
