Sleeping Beauty Castle
Disneyland's pink fortress
Sleeping Beauty Castle is the iconic fairy-tale structure at the center of Disneyland in Anaheim, California, serving as the visual symbol of the park since its 1955 opening.
Inspired by Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria and the 1959 Disney film, its pink turrets and blue spires define the classic Disney aesthetic.
The castle marks the entrance to Fantasyland and appears in the Disney logo.
Similar structures at other Disney parks go by different names: Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant at Disneyland Paris.
