Saturday school
Weekend disciplinary session
Saturday school is an educational session held on Saturdays, outside regular weekday instruction.
It may offer supplementary academics, enrichment programs, or cultural education—Japanese and Chinese heritage schools commonly meet Saturdays.
In some schools, Saturday school serves as detention or makeup time for missed classes: He got Saturday school for skipping.
