Samuel Hahnemann
Samuel Hahnemann was an 18th-century German physician who founded homeopathy, a system of alternative medicine based on the principle that "like cures like"—that substances causing symptoms in healthy people can cure similar symptoms in the sick when given in extremely diluted doses.
His ideas, published in the *Organon of Medicine* (1810), remain influential in alternative medicine despite lacking scientific support.
