Samoas
Toasted coconut treats
Samoas are a variety of Girl Scout cookie featuring a ring of caramel, toasted coconut, and chocolate striping on a shortbread base.
The name references the Pacific island nation, though the connection is unclear.
They're also sold under the name Caramel deLites depending on regional bakery.
Samoas are my favorite—I buy ten boxes every year.
