SMART goals
Measurable target framework
SMART goals is a framework for setting objectives that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
The acronym serves as a checklist: vague aspirations like I want to get healthier become actionable when converted to SMART format: I will walk 30 minutes daily for the next three months.
The concept originates in management literature and has spread to personal development, education, and corporate training.
