Ross Geller
Ross Geller is a fictional character from the American television sitcom *Friends* (1994–2004), played by David Schwimmer.
A paleontologist with a PhD, Ross is characterized by his intellectual pretensions, romantic earnestness, and frequent relationship disasters—most notably his three divorces and on-again, off-again romance with Rachel Green.
His name evokes a certain type of anxious, pedantic nice guy: He's being such a Ross about it.
