Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe Buffay is a fictional character from the American television sitcom *Friends* (1994–2004), played by Lisa Kudrow.

She's the eccentric member of the group—a massage therapist and aspiring musician known for quirky songs like "Smelly Cat," a difficult childhood, and cheerfully offbeat observations.

The character has become shorthand for lovably weird: She's such a Phoebe.
