Piaf
Legendary French vocalist
Piaf refers to Édith Piaf (1915–1963), the French singer whose emotionally intense voice and tragic life made her an icon of chanson.
Her signature songs include "La Vie en Rose" and "Non, je ne regrette rien." The name has become shorthand for a particular style of passionate, world-weary French vocal performance: She sang with the intensity of a young Piaf.
