South American artery
The Orinoco River is a major waterway in South America, flowing roughly 1,400 miles through Venezuela and along the Colombian border before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean.
It drains much of Venezuela and parts of Colombia, passing through rainforest, savanna, and the vast Orinoco Delta.
