Moleskine
Fancy black notebook
Moleskine is a brand of notebook with a distinctive black cover, rounded corners, elastic closure, and ribbon bookmark.
The design evokes the simple bound notebooks supposedly favored by writers and artists like Hemingway and Picasso.
By extension, any similar-looking notebook may be called a moleskine: She pulled out her moleskine and started sketching.
The name comes from moleskin, a soft cotton fabric, though the notebooks aren't made from it.
