Marxist ideology
Workers own production
Marxist ideology is the body of social, political, and economic theories derived from the works of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
At its core, it views history as a series of class struggles, holds that capitalism exploits workers by extracting surplus value from their labor, and predicts that this system will eventually be overthrown by the working class to establish a classless, communist society.
The term often appears in political discourse both as self-identification and as a label applied by critics: The professor was accused of promoting Marxist ideology.
