Kermit the Frog
Muppet show host
Kermit the Frog is a Muppet character created by Jim Henson—a green frog who serves as the earnest, put-upon host of *The Muppet Show* and appears throughout Muppet films and *Sesame Street*.
His plaintive rendition of "It's Not Easy Being Green" became an anthem for accepting one's identity.
Kermit functions as the straight man amid chaos, perpetually exasperated but unfailingly decent.
