Ken doll

Plastic male companion

Ken doll is the male companion to Barbie in Mattel's toy line, introduced in 1961.

The term describes a man who is conventionally attractive but bland, plastic-looking, or lacking depth—handsome in an artificial, manufactured way: He's good-looking but kind of a Ken doll.

The implication is surface appeal without substance or real personality.
