Gothic script
Pointed medieval handwriting
Gothic script is a style of handwriting and typeface characterized by angular, ornate letterforms with heavy vertical strokes and elaborate flourishes.
It dominated European manuscripts from the 12th to 15th centuries and remains associated with medieval aesthetics.
The style appears on diplomas, newspaper mastheads, and heavy metal album covers.
Also called blackletter or Old English, though it isn't Old English.
