Gloria Vanderbilt

Gloria Vanderbilt (1924–2019) was an American artist, fashion designer, and socialite from one of America's wealthiest families.

As a child, she was the subject of a sensational custody battle that captivated Depression-era America.

She later built a fashion empire, most famously her designer jeans line in the 1970s and 80s.
