Father of Lies
The great deceiver
Father of Lies is an epithet for Satan or the Devil, derived from a passage in the Gospel of John where Jesus says the devil "is a liar, and the father of it." The phrase characterizes Satan as the originator and master of deception, falsehood, and all forms of untruth.
In broader use, it can be applied to any person considered exceptionally deceitful or whose lies have far-reaching consequences.
He earned a reputation as the father of lies in that administration.
