Eastern US
Where Boston sits
The eastern portion of the United States, generally comprising states along or near the Atlantic coast, from Maine to Florida and extending inland to roughly the Mississippi River.
The term contrasts with the Western US and sometimes subdivides into regions like the Northeast and Southeast: I grew up in the Eastern US but moved to California.
