Western US
Beyond the Rockies
The Western US (or Western United States) is the region comprising states west of the Great Plains, typically including the Mountain and Pacific states.
The area encompasses diverse geography—from deserts to rainforests to the Rocky Mountains—and carries associations with frontier expansion, outdoor recreation, and more progressive politics: They moved to the Western US for the tech jobs and milder winters.
