Dwight Schrute
Dwight Schrute is a fictional character from the American television series *The Office*, played by Rainn Wilson.
He's the socially awkward, fiercely loyal assistant (to the) regional manager at a paper company, known for his beet farm, obsession with martial arts and survivalism, and unshakable confidence despite frequent humiliation.
The character has become shorthand for a certain type of pedantic, humorless coworker who takes everything too seriously: He's being such a Dwight about the office thermostat.
