Michael Scott
Michael Scott is the fictional regional manager of Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch in the American television series *The Office* (2005–2013), played by Steve Carell.
The character embodies a specific type of incompetent but well-meaning boss—desperate to be liked, oblivious to social cues, and prone to inappropriate jokes.
His name has become shorthand for this management style: That meeting was pure Michael Scott energy.
