Droste effect
Picture within picture
The Droste effect is a recursive visual where an image contains a smaller version of itself, which contains a still smaller version, and so on toward infinity.
Named after a Dutch cocoa tin whose label showed a woman holding the same tin.
The effect appears in art, photography, and video: The mirror reflecting the mirror created a Droste effect.
