Davidian

Branch compound member

A Davidian is a member of a religious movement descended from a 1930s offshoot of Seventh-day Adventism, founded by Victor Houteff near Waco, Texas.

The term became widely known after the 1993 standoff between federal agents and the Branch Davidians, a splinter group led by David Koresh, which ended in a deadly fire.

The Davidian compound burned for hours.
