Cuphead
Porcelain-headed cartoon hero
Cuphead is a run-and-gun video game released in 2017, known for its hand-drawn animation style mimicking 1930s cartoons.
The title character is a boy with a cup for a head who must defeat bosses to repay a debt to the Devil.
The game's punishing difficulty made it a touchstone for debates about accessibility in gaming: I finally beat Cuphead after dying a hundred times.
