Christmas readings
Seasonal liturgical passages
Christmas readings are passages read aloud during the holiday season, typically biblical texts like the Nativity story from Luke or Isaiah's prophecies, but also secular literature such as Dickens's *A Christmas Carol*.
Churches incorporate them into services and carol concerts; families may read them as tradition: We always do the Christmas readings on Christmas Eve.
