CTF

CTF stands for capture the flag, a competition format originating in outdoor games where teams try to seize the opposing team's flag from their territory.

In cybersecurity, CTF competitions challenge participants to exploit vulnerabilities, crack codes, or solve puzzles to find hidden "flags"—strings of text proving successful completion.

I spent the weekend doing a CTF challenge.

The format has also spread to video games, where teams compete to capture and hold objectives on a map.
