Balloon Dog
Koons's inflated canine
A balloon dog is a dog-shaped figure made by twisting long balloons, a staple of children's parties and street performers.
The term also refers to the famous sculptures by artist Jeff Koons—oversized, mirror-polished stainless steel replicas of these simple balloon animals, which have sold for record prices at auction: The orange Balloon Dog went for $58 million.
