April-fool

Seasonal prank victim

An April-fool is someone tricked on April Fools' Day (April 1), or the prank itself.

The tradition involves playing harmless tricks and crying "April fool!" when the victim falls for it: He sent her to fetch a left-handed screwdriver and she didn't realize she'd been made an April-fool until noon.
