Among Us
Crewmate betrayal game
Among Us is a multiplayer video game where players work together on a spaceship while trying to identify impostors secretly sabotaging the crew.
The game sparked massive popularity in 2020, generating widespread memes and making "sus" (suspicious) mainstream slang.
The phrase now triggers jokes whenever the unrelated preposition phrase "among us" appears in ordinary speech: Jesus walked among us inevitably prompts someone to reference the game.
