Alexei
Common Slavic forename
Alexei is a Russian male given name, the Russian form of Alexis.
It was borne by several Russian tsars and tsareviches, most famously the hemophiliac son of Nicholas II whose assassination helped end the Romanov dynasty.
The name remains common in Russia and among Russian diaspora: Alexei called his grandmother in Moscow.
