AK-74
Russian military firearm
The AK-74 is a Soviet assault rifle introduced in 1974 as a successor to the AK-47, chambered for the smaller 5.45×39mm cartridge.
It became the standard infantry weapon of the Soviet military and remains widely used by Russian and former Soviet-bloc forces.
The design retains the AK-47's legendary reliability while offering reduced recoil and improved accuracy.
